Chapter 1：Origin of Surface Mount Technology
Surface Mount Technology Started from the struggle for hegemony between the United States and the Soviet Union during the Cold War. In order to win the future war, satellite communication is the most important. For this reason, it takes a strong rocket thrust to launch a heavy satellite. Under certain technical conditions, when the rocket thrust can not be improved, reducing the weight of the satellite has been put on the agenda.
The traditional satellite construction is composed of basic electronic components and circuit boards, and the volume and weight of the parts are often very large. For example, the black-and-white TV at that time, I believe we all know very well that the back is very big and heavy, and then slowly there is a LCD, rear projection and so on. Surface Mount Technology emerge as the times require.
Everyone in the SMT industry knows that the American chip placement machine is called "Global". In the 1970s, Japan's Panasonic introduced and absorbed the placement machine technology. since it got out of hand, Japan has produced many brands of placement machine one after another. high-end Panasonic, Fuji, mid-range YAMAHA,JUKI,SONY, Hitachi, Sanyo, Casio and so on. In a sense, SMT originated in the United States and grew up in Japan.
So, where does the application of placement machine technology in China originate? What is the prospect of its development? What is the origin and development of SMT technology in other countries?
