Introduction of FX-1 / FX-1R Machine
Mar 15, 2022  Editor: admin
This Machine, FX-1 / FX-1R is a high-speed modular machine, and its mounting capability allows you to place components on a board at double the speed a conventional medium-sized modular machine, KE-2050 does. Thia machine is a one-by-one type of mounter as a successor of the conventional KE series products designed on the modular concept: its economic efficiency, versatility, operability, expandability, reliability, maintainability and safety are further improved while inheriting the flexible performance.
This machine is designed mainly to place small chip components on a board, and is generally supposed to connect to a KE series general-purpose mounter as a downstream process machine in the line. In this type of line configuration, you can use a Host Line computer(HLC) to share an optimal program with a KE series or JUKI adhesive dispenser and control the entire line. This feature allows you to configure the line that is appropriate for every kind of application.
Some models of the FX-1 / FX-1R Series conform to the European safety standards( obtaining a CE mark), And their specifications are exclusively for the SC type machines that support a large-sized board (410mm x360mm) and a chip whose height is up to 6mm.

Highlights:
* High-speed component placement thanks to two MNLA heads (equipped with four nozzles) located on the X-axis that is driven with a linear motor: this feature allows one head to pick up a component and another one to place a component at the same time.
* Use of the independent AC Servo motor to control each nozzle axis so that a nozzle axis can move up/down (Z-axis) or rotate (theta-aixs): this feature allows the machine to place a component on a board at high speed and high accuracy regardless of the component placement pattern.
* The FX-1R places components at high speed while maintaining the stable component placement accuracy thanks to improvement of a ball screw of the Y-table axis in addition to imporvement of the XY-axis positioning accuracy.
* Greatly shortened time required to replace a nozzle: the machine can use one head to place components on a board even when a nozzle of another head is replaced.
* Adjustments of the PWB transport sensore and the PWB positioning pin without any tool.
* Standard automatic width adjustment function of the placement station (however, the automatic width adjustment function of the IN (loading)/ Out(ejecting) station is optional.)
* Self-calibration function for vacuum pressure breaking timing: this feature prevents any component from being brought back immediately after it is placed on a board.
* PWB support section (support table), which is driven by a motor, preventing any vibration from occurring when a clamped board is released, then a placed component from being shifted from the regulated position: the time required to clamp or unclamp a board is shortened.
* Software control of the clamp pressure in the Y-directon when a board is clamped from its outside.
* Support of every type of board marks including a mark on a flexographic board thanks to the coaxial light and angled light.
* Imporved board mark recognition capability due to pattern matching operation, and placement of two or more components with a set of marks thanks to the area fiducial mark recognition function.
* Windows, adopted as the operating system (windows NT for a n FX-1 and windows XP for an FX-1R), increases the operability of the machie greatly.
* AN attached feeder position indicator (FPI) notifies an operator that components run out during PWB production and issues the warning on the number of the remaining components with LED indicators: this feature lets an operator to know when to replace a feeder with another one (optional).
* Increased operability of the teaching operation with the HOD equipped with LEDs.
*Trabsportation of PWBs without returning a head or X-Y-axis to their home positions respectively.
*Maintainability improved by displaying the number of component pick-up operations per nozzle and the XY tavel distances as well as the hour meter on the screen.
